    Max Wideman has over half a century of practicing a variety of Project Management (PM). This site brings together a permanent record of the accumulated learning and experience which Max has gained in Project Management throughout this time.

    It is for those with an interest in PM, have questions, or just want "how to" answers from our Issacons. This site has serious Papers by Max as well as knowledgeable Guest authors.     Papers: As a part of a UBC PMP Assignment, Rick Mann asks Max Wideman to respond to a series of interview questions about project management. This is a record of Max's answers with his serious opinions.

    Guests: In the Healthcare Industry and Project Management, Mary Walton explains the Top 5 Things to know. The challenge is to lower the cost of output while improving the project success rate. According to the Massachusetts Hospital Association, the major advantage of project management is that it helps to be a step ahead of every potential risk while allowing hospitals to run more efficiently and safely.

    Musings: Angela Civitella explains How to Be an Empathetic Leader Without Being a Pushover. Angela says that now is not the time to rule with an iron fist. But to still be likeable as a leader, she offers five ways to do so. On the other hand, she also says, don't be a pushover either — there are five ways to avoid being a doormat.

    Papers: Terry Williams and his colleagues provide a thorough study of The Front-End of Projects: A Systematic Literature Review and Structuring of the span of work and effort involved in the "front-end" of the project life span based on a careful study of PM publications published between January 2006 and September 2017.

    Papers: Through Todd Williams's many years of corporate management experience, he has uncovered six areas of typical shortcomings or failure in communication. He describes these in Filling Execution Gaps - How Executives and Project Managers turn Corporate Strategy into Successful Projects.
